Sound Baths & Meditation Groups
A space to pause, breathe and reconnect.
Kamala’s Sound Bath and Meditation Groups offer a gentle space to step away from the noise of everyday life and give yourself permission to simply be.
Sessions combine guided meditation, breathwork and the deeply relaxing sounds and vibrations of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes, drums and other therapeutic sound instruments.
There is nothing you need to achieve and no experience of meditation is necessary. You’ll be guided throughout, with plenty of space to settle into whatever the experience brings for you.
What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is an immersive relaxation experience where you rest comfortably while layers of sound and vibration are created around you.
Rather than actively listening to music, you are invited to soften, slow down and allow the sounds to wash over you. Many people find sound particularly helpful when traditional meditation feels difficult, as it gives the mind something gentle to focus on while the body settles into rest.
Each session is different, but you may leave feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, clearer, lighter or simply grateful that you gave yourself some uninterrupted time to stop.
Meditation at Kamala
Meditation doesn’t have to mean sitting perfectly still with an empty mind.
Kamala meditation groups are relaxed, welcoming and designed for real people with busy brains and busy lives. Sessions may include guided visualisation, grounding practices, breath awareness, mindfulness, intention setting, gentle somatic practices or periods of quiet reflection.
Different sessions may explore themes such as rest, self-compassion, joy, grounding, letting go, seasonal change or reconnecting with yourself.
What to Expect
Come as you are and wear something comfortable. Mats and other equipment can be provided, and you are welcome to bring anything that helps you feel cosy, such as a blanket, pillow, warm socks or an eye mask.
Sound baths and meditation groups are offered throughout the year at Kamala, including regular sessions, themed events and occasional collaborations.
You don’t need to be “good” at meditation. You just need to arrive.
Come in, get comfortable, and just breathe.
