About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

My Story
Hi, I'm Kerry
I'm the real life person behind Kamala Holistic.
My work has grown and changed quite a bit over the years, but at the heart of it is a fairly simple idea: creating spaces where people can slow down, feel safe, reconnect with themselves and be met as they are.
I'm a holistic practitioner, trainer and facilitator, with experience across Reiki, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, therapeutic sound, bodywork and wellbeing. Alongside my one-to-one work, I teach and facilitate groups, workshops and training.
Training & facilitation
Teaching has become an important part of my work. I develop and deliver my own training, including creating original course manuals and learning resources to support students both during their training and afterwards.
My approach to teaching is practical, accessible and person-centred. I'm much more interested in helping people understand and confidently use what they're learning than simply handing over information.
Advocacy & Community
Outside Kamala, advocacy, activism and community work are also an important part of who I am.
I'm particularly interested in social justice, participation and what happens when people who are often spoken about are given meaningful opportunities to speak for themselves.
My work and training in this area have included community advocacy, housing and social justice, conflict and political development, and participatory approaches such as Legislative Theatre. I've also trained in facilitation approaches designed to help people explore difficult issues, share lived experience and communicate their views.
These aren't completely separate worlds for me. Whether I'm facilitating a group, teaching a course, supporting someone individually or involved in advocacy work, I value compassion, curiosity, inclusion and people's right to have agency in their own lives.
Kamala
Kamala has never really been about fitting everyone into the same box.
Whether someone comes through the door for a treatment, a course, a workshop or simply an hour where they don't have to be anything for anybody else, I want the experience to feel warm, grounded and genuinely human.
Just breathe.
